ABOUT
Smokin’ Toad’s specializes in rustic, yet elegant BBQ buffets, customized for YOUR special day. But BBQ buffets are not all we do! If you are interested in sit down, plated service or dining stations, we have you covered. Don’t want bbq options? Let Chef Todd work with you on a menu that will fit your taste and budget. When it comes to weddings, remember, it is your day. We are here to help give you the experience you expect and deserve.
Call or email Chef Todd to set up a tasting at no charge to you. Preferred time is Sundays at 1:45, but we can be flexible to fit most schedules. Allow about 2 hours to get through the tasting and details about your wedding. If you have any specific requests for the tasting, please let us know up to 1 week prior to the tasting.
STEP 1
Arrive hungry! A typical BBQ tasting consists of our smoked meats (pork shoulder, brisket, chicken, pork belly, turkey and salmon), 3 additional chicken preparations, a few cold sides and a few hot sides. Any special requests will be inserted and if there is an item of little interest, it will be removed.

Time to relax. You have the venue and the caterer taken off your to do list! At any time leading up to the wedding, feel free to call or email with any questions regarding the menu or anything else wedding related. We have done this before, you have probably not so it helps to have someone to bounce ideas off of or just to ask general questions. At any time, up to 1 month before the wedding, the menu can be modified.

We will reach out 1 month prior to the wedding to make sure we are all on the same page and we will require a guest count for invoicing and 50% of the invoice will be due. If you have any guests with dietary restrictions, please let us know at this time so we can accommodate them properly.

At 1 week prior, a final guest count will be given and the remaining balance will be due. Final count to include all vendors and a breakdown of adults and children under 12. Vendors and children will be discounted.
STEP 6
You’re done! The rest is on us. We will provide linens to the venue the day before the wedding. We arrive early the day of to set up, prep the menu and make sure everything runs seamlessly. Our staff will ensure Hors D’oeuvres are presented upon guest arrival to cocktail hour and refilled throughout. Buffet will be staffed and served if required or can be self serve. We will continue to refill the buffet as needed. Staff will clear empty dishes from guest tables throughout the evening. All remaining food from the cocktail hour displays and from the buffet will be packaged for you to take home.
There are many details to discuss at a tasting. The above steps are typical to a buffet with a self serve appetizer bar. If you don’t want to be typical, let’s get together over some BBQ and figure out what it is you want and let us deliver!
